Research Interest Statement

Epigenetic regulation of tumor suppressor genes in Myelodysplastic Syndrome and Acute Leukemia. Translational work involves elucidating the mechanism by which demethylating agents such as azacytidine and histone deacetylating agents work, particularly in hematological malignancies as well as identifying genes which may prove to be epigenetic markers for prognosis and recurrence of disease.
