Science Friday will feature collaborative research from the labs of Dr. Rachel Karchin, associate professor of Biomedical Engineering and ICM core faculty, and Dr. Victor Velculescu, professor of Oncology and co-director of Cancer Biology, on October 2. The Nature paper entitled “The genomic landscape of response to EGFR blockade in colorectal cancer” focuses on computational analysis tools used to interpret somatic mutations, developed by the Karchin lab, in a study of genetic changes implicated in response to monoclonal antibody drugs that inhibit the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) in colorectal tumors.
