Natalia Trayanova uses machine learning to predict heart damage in COVID-19 patients

Natalia Trayanova, ICM core faculty member and director of ADVANCE, is the principal investigator of a research project that received a $195,000 Rapid Response Research grant from the National Science Foundation.  The research identifies through machine learning which COVID-19 patients are at risk of adverse cardiac events.
