This Rising Stars: Women 2019 career development workshop aims to bring together top female postdocs and senior graduate students whose research focuses on biomedical applications. The program includes technical talks, panels and discussions with faculty and researchers from Baltimore and Boston area clinical labs and industry. The goal is to provide mentoring and support for top junior researchers as they transition to the next phase of their career, and to enable them to form connections with their cohort of investigators in different areas of biomedical research. Attendance is by invitation only.

Rising Stars in Biomedical is supported by the National Institutes of Health through the MIT IMPACT Program and by industry sponsors. Rising Stars: Women 2019 is hosted by Sridevi Sarma, associate professor of biomedical engineering and associate director of The Institute for Computational Medicine in conjunction with MIT. A detailed agenda, list of faculty and trainee participants, and presentation abstracts can be found here.
