Jean Fan, an undergraduate student working with Dr. Rachel Karchin, has been awarded a 2011 Provost’s Undergraduate Research (PURA) Award for her proposal entitled “Improving computational models of the biological consequences of mutation through limiting the phylogenetic distances of orthologous sequences”.
