The Kavli Neuroscience Discovery Institute at Johns Hopkins is pleased to host actor, director, and science advocate Alan Alda, for a presentation titled “Getting Beyond a Blind Date with Science.”

Alan Alda may best known for his central role as Hawkeye in the television series M*A*S*H, and more recently as the television host of PBS’s Scientific American Frontiers series. However, Alda honed an equally eminent career advocating for science. Alda created The Alda-Kavli Learning Center for Science Communication to enable scientists and engineers with tools and skills to communicate their research in ways that effectively capture the support and curiosity of their audience. https://youtu.be/S0m4iDiTeto

Alan will share his insights on how scientists and health professionals can communicate and distill their work into a message that effectively resonates with their peers, the public, and patients. See event flyer for details.
